/ FEATURE

As a Product designer I designed a Gantt chart. This feature is crucial for users in the film and video industry because it solves key production planning and coordination challenges through visual timeline management.

Problem
Film production involves multiple overlapping tasks across different teams (e.g., shooting, editing, VFX, sound design).

Solution
A Gantt chart visually lays out when each task happens and how they overlap, making it easy to coordinate complex schedules.

/ FEATURE

1.Project Updates

Better Progress Tracking

Problem
Without a clear overview, it’s hard to tell how far along a project is.

Solution
A well-defined color scheme for statuses (e.g., Light Gray for "Not Started," blue for "In Progress") provides a visual representation of progress.

This combination of status colors and icons enhances visual clarity and organization, making it easier for users to navigate and more scannable.

/ FEATURE

1.Manage projects end-to-end

The structured board system in Producer is a good UX solution because it directly addresses common usability challenges in film and video production:

Complexity & Overwhelm

Problem
Film production involves multiple stages (pre-production, shooting, post-production), each with countless tasks. Keeping track of progress across teams is overwhelming.

Solution
A stage-and-step breakdown provides a clear visual hierarchy, allowing users to navigate, track, and manage tasks efficiently.

/ FEATURE

Task Management

Problem
During production, teams face the challenge of managing numerous tasks that are not directly tied to the production steps but are crucial for the overall workflow. These tasks often need to be tracked separately using external tools like Asana, which results in fragmented processes and complicates task visibility.

Solution
By integrating task management directly into Producer, we enable users to track all tasks—whether they are part of the production steps or additional supporting tasks—within the app itself. This consolidation ensures that users can create, assign, prioritize, and track tasks related to specific production steps, without needing to rely on third-party platforms.
